To encourage support for our cavity nester program and to further cooperation between CBRP and the California Audubon chapters, we are offering to assist with the cost of purchasing material for the construction of nest boxes and retrievers for use on trails. We will reimburse up to $500 per individual request.

The grants will pay for wood, screws, glue, hanging wire, a mounting pole and other hardware needed as well as one 10-20’ pole (pool pole or other) and PVC to be used for constructing a retriever. We strongly advise the use of approved nestbox plans from kits or home construction. Commercial nestboxes which are available for purchase generally are not of good quality. Build or buy kit from us?
